What Is Mostly Retro?
Mostly Retro is a site dedicated to all things retro and nostalgic…mostly. Basically, I wanted to create a site so I could write about the things that interest me, those things being pop culture from the 60s to the 90s, as well as some newer stuff. As the name suggests, most of the stuff here will be about older subjects, but once in a while you might see a post on a new band, movie or anything else that I feel like writing about.

Basically, expect a lot of stuff on games, music and movies from the 60s to the 90s here, with the occasional foray into the modern era when I feel like it.

Who are you?
My name is James Eldred. I’m a freelance writer. My work has been published on sites such as Nerve and for publications such as Mixmag, Big Shot Magazine and Goldmine. A long time ago I had something published in Wizard, and I thought that was really rad at the time. I wrote something for 1up. But that’s been lost to a 404 error for some reason.

If you’re interested in republishing anything on this site or you want to get in contact with me for any other reason, shoot me an email.

Why the hyphen?
Because mostlyretro.com was taken, oddly enough.
